The earth is yours, Yahweh,
And you love it.
You love your people, too,
Restoring Jacob’s descendants,
Forgiving your people,
Erasing every single one of their sins,
Tossing aside your frustration,
Snuffing the fire of your anger.
Well, we need you to do it again, saving God.
Restore us again.
Toss out your disgust with us.
Will you frown forever?
Will you make our kids and grandkids
Pay for what we did?
Will you let us fade into death,
Never to enjoy you again?
What we need is that never-quitting love of yours.
Yahweh, save us again!
I promise to listen to every word
Yahweh-God speaks.
He, in turn, promises to put all the pieces together,
Making a whole life
For his whole-hearted people,
Helping them to stop living stupidly.
Look!
Salvation is coming
To those living in a God-ward direction.
His Glory is moving into our neighborhood.
Kind Love and Integrity throw a welcome party.
Right Heart and Whole Heart hug in excitement.
Integrity bursts from the ground like spring flowers.
Kind Love showers from the sky like summer rain.
When Yahweh shows up
His arms will be loaded with gifts.
The land will give its harvest gift, too.
Right Heart will lead him to the front door
Of his new home
With us.
